OCHIN and our OCHIN+ training and workforce development program are partnering with the United States Department of Labor to help rebuild Oregon’s and Washington’s health care IT workforce. We’re looking for individuals interested in helping underrepresented communities become healthier, stronger, and more resilient.

Our $2M congressional appropriation funding helps selected applicants receive paid training to become skilled Electronic Health Record Support Analysts.

Electronic Health Record Support Analysts

Learn to support a comprehensive electronic medical record system, provide technical insights, and create innovative solutions that help facilitate a higher standard of community care. This program offers a unique blend of online classroom training followed by a paid remote internship/externship opportunity at OCHIN. It aims to enhance employment opportunities for participants by providing hands-on experience that builds skills and prepares trainees to succeed in the field of health care information technology.

Real-World Experience

After successfully completing your virtual coursework and certification, participate in a paid internship at OCHIN and an on-site, full-time externship with an OCHIN member health center in Oregon or Washington.

Additional applicant requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Passing of background check
  • Current/updated COVID-19 vaccination
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods, use a computer, and interpret documents in English
  • Bilingual/Spanish preferred (not required)
  • Selected program participants are assigned a set internship shift during the course
